Oeuvrant informellement depuis janvier 1997 et constitué en décembre 1997, Zone Architecture est un organisme sans but lucratif basé sur la diffusion de l’information en architecture. L’utilisation des nouvelles technologies d’archivage numérique et de diffusion internet est un aspect majeur de ces activités.

Les concours internationaux et l’expérience québécoise.

Cette recherche vise à analyser la structuration de différents concours importants ayant eu lieu sur la scène québecoise et internationale. Les informations receuillis seront regroupés selon les caractéristiques structurants les concours d’architecture :

-La formule de sélection
-L’organisation
-Le mode d’évaluation et la composition du jury
-Les modes de diffusion de l’appel
-Les modes de diffusion des résultats

Les informations qui seront répertoriées dans ce rapport éclaireront les décisions du comité de gestion ministérielle dans la formulation de la structure du concours de la Grande Bibliothèque du Québec (GBQ).

1- Research and analysis report :

International and national competion overview

This search aims at analyzing the structure of various important competition having taken place on the Quebec and international scene. Information will be gathered according to characteristics structuring the various architectural competitions:

Information which will be indexed in this report will clarify the decisions of the board of ministerial management in the formulation of the structure to be used in the competition of the Grande Bibliothèque du Québec (GBQ).

Comparative analyses will then be presented according to each category. The committee will thus be able to evaluate the impact of various held experiments in order to define an optimal structure for this competition.
