| Registration The registration process will take place under the supervision of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. The participants are cautioned against any discussions about the project, until the awarding of the prizes, with the organizers, the jury or the members of the technical committee. This warning does not include questions sent or e-mailed during the Qand A period. Competitors may only participate in one project. Submission delivery (Anonymity) To ensure the anonymity of the projects, participants must only use the following procedure: Competitors will write a six digit number ( 21 pts Helvetica Narrow) on the top left corner of each board. The same number will appear on two sealed, otherwise unidentified, opaque envelopes. The envelopes will contain the name of the team leader and other members, address, phone and fax numbers. Each envelope will be affixed to the back of each board on the same corner as the number on the front. Each project shall be wrapped twice. The inside wrapper shall be free of any identifying mark, save the six digit number chosen by the participant. Submission delivery
Participants are solely responsible for the timely arrival of their submissions. Participants by virtue of entering the competion agree to save harmless the organizers, sponsors and anyone else involved with the competition, for any delay, damage or loss, real or perceived. Judging procedure (see related page) Rights and Obligations The competition announcement constitute a contract offer. Registration in the competition constitute a contractual agreement and thus implies the competitor's acceptance of all the regulations of the competition. Entries will become the property of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. Entrants shall retain the copyright in their designs. The participants automatically allow the organizers to use all or part of their entry for publication purposes in any medium. Proper credit will be given in any publication. If, for any reason, the competition is canceled, the organizers shall be liable exclusively for the entrance fee and if entrants wish to have their projects returned, shipping costs will be deducted from the amount reimbursed. The participants are responsible for the identification of the authors of the projects submitted. These authors will be identified on the Identification card attached to the two boards. The participants agree to save harmless the promoter, the organizing body and any person linked with the organization of the competition from all claims, of any nature whatsoever, relating to authorship of any project. Without restricting the generality of the foregoing, by registering in this competition, the competitors accept that the promoter, the organizers and any person linked with the organization of the competition are not in any way responsible for damages, real or perceived, suffered by the participants as a result of taking part in this competition. Should a conflict of any nature arise, the participants recognize and accept that the applicable law shall be the Law of the province of Quebec and the competent tribunals shall be the courts of the province of Quebec, district of Montreal. Should there be a conflict between the French and English versions of the competition rules, the French version shall prevail. |
